Description: Club week marks the beginning of the extra-curricular year. It is an event during which clubs promote their services and offerings in hopes of attracting a large member base than the previous year. During this period YUFIC will be promoting its sponsors heavily to attract the student demographic they are targeting. Promotion will occur via large boards, our website, club packages and goodies submitted for distribution. It’s your chance to come down and sign up for YUFIC membership so you can take advantage of all we have planned for the upcoming academic term.
YUFIC Pre-Networking Cocktail Workshop: Networking Strategies & Business Etiquette

Description: The first workshop of the year is a lead-up to the networking cocktail YUFIC hosts annually in October. The workshop will feature presentations on networking, professionalism, etiquette and strategies to be used by students at networking events. In addition, YUFIC will distribute a profile of all its sponsors to attendees to familiarize them with the types of companies they will be networking with.
YUFIC Annual Networking Cocktail

Location: Schulich Private Dining Hall
Description: The YUFIC networking cocktail hosts 100+ of the top students from the demographic profile our sponsors have indicated interest in. YUFIC boasts a high ratio of corporate representatives to students in order so that students and recruiters receive more exposure and more value. Each sponsor company will be introduced before the networking session. The event will take place at the Schulich School of Business in the Private Dining Hall.
YUFIC Annual New York Trip
Date: Early November
Location: NEW YORK!!!
Description: A joint initiative with the MBA finance club (The Schulich Finance Association), the New York Trip is a chance for a select group of Schulich students to get to travel to the big apple and meet with various alumni working on Wall Street and visit many firms who are interested in hiring Schulich students.

Description: YUFIC's Schulich Finance Conference (SFC) is the club's most anticipated event-both by our corporate partners and the Schulich student body. This event is an opportunity for students to learn, network and prepare for a coveted career in the financial services industry. In addition, SFC attracts students from business and commerce programs from other universities-such as Queens, University of Toronto, Wilfrid Laurier University, University of Waterloo and University of Western Ontario-enabling Schulich students to broaden their networks to include students outside of York University.

Description: Throughout the year we will have our various corporate partners coming to Schulich for the purpose of these Company Info Sessions. Here you will be introduced to the company, available positions, what they look for in candidates, why you should be interested in their firm and much, much more!
YUFIC Career & Technical Workshops

Description:The purpose of the career workshop series is to inform students on the possible financial careers that students can pursue. These workshops will feature a presentation by the club on different industries and career paths and in addition, the events will feature a presentation by an alumni or corporate sponsor in the field. Industries covered throughout the year Include:

- Equity Research
- Wealth Management
- Asset Management
- Private Equity

Also, YUFIC will be hosting many technical workshops throughout the year. These workshops will aim to build the financial savvy of member through introducing the different tools used by industry professionals to achieve their goals (Ex. different valuation methodologies, investment theories and approaches, tools used by traders etc.).
